am now the proud holder of a new california driver's license sans corrective lenses restriction!! yay lasik yay! (although, i do miss my cat eye glasses every now and again...)
got home at some ungodly hour from the office and it was sitting in my mailbox, pretty as you please. i took a new picture while i was there and it's not-horrible.
i still don't understand why i still have to put a sticker on my license if i want to donate organs... you'd think this was something they could print on the license itself? boggle. actually, now that i think about it, i wonder if i CAN donate my eyes, what with the lasik and all? HMM.
anyway, YAY! (need yay icon, why do i not have one?)

Date: 2004-03-03 03:56 pm (UTC)Just a theory about the sticker... (1) They want to allow you the opportunity to change your mind by removing the sticker. (2) They want to avoid the possibility that your loved ones will argue that your consent was the result of some DMV employee checking the wrong box.
Don't know about the eyes. I always said I'd donate anything but those. My eyes are crappy, for one, and besides, it just creeps me out. :)
