new york: the saga continues
May. 27th, 2004 12:56 amso after crashing on saturday night, woke up at noon on sunday and headed out.
there was something going on with the fire station directly across from the world trade center and it involved numerous motorbikes. they completely filled the streets. no triumphs or vincent black shadows that i could see... most everyone had a harley of some sort or an indian. anyway, good stuff.
after i made it through the throng of bikes, i hopped the train to radio city and the poa premiere.
( sunday: enkeli and the prisoner of the fangrrlz )
it was all over by 4.30p. no tickets passed out for the folks waiting outside, although the stuff around was pretty much up for grabs. i got to watch nypd settle a dispute between two 13 year old girls over one of the banners hung on the barracades. they were playing tug-o-war with it. he was really trying not to laugh, i could tell.
for some reason that i can't explain, it took me two hours to get back to the hotel. it then took me another two hours to venture outside the hotel for food. i really don't know where the time goes.
i stopped at an all night chinese food place and was so hungry i ordered two dishes. the lady at the counter thought it was for two people and tried to give me two sets of utensils. ha!
monday was pretty uneventful. went to strand annex, bought no books. went to this discount mall thing across from the trade center and am stabbing myself with a fork for not buying the new piece of luggage i had in my hand because i could really use another suitcase right now.
i then changed my ticket, called boss, and changed it back. got them to only charge me once for it, too. (thank you, billie rae, for teaching me those phat phone skillz.) am really glad i don't have to go to that thing, but sad that i don't get more time in new york, since i didn't get to do half of things i wanted to do.
i'm sure i'll be back. ;)
and, of course, the chronicles of enkeli in london are still in progress. stay tuned! :)
