so, just woke up after LOTR fun last night/this morning. don't have much time, as I am on my way to an appt across town so, to sum up:

-trilogy party probably one of the funnest things I've done in a while. still plenty of peppermint schnapps left... *g*
-no trailers/previews/whatever you call them at home. was sad, because I was so looking forward to seeing PoA on the big screen, but have already got tickets to see the movie again on friday, raar. (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] notlefthanded!)
-the movie? WOW. so emotional. bring tissues, is all I'm sayin'.
-the audience? way into it, and nary a sound! I mean, people cheered, etc. but NO TALKING. it was awesome. probably the best movie audience I've ever sat with.

now, off I go to appt and to finish xmas shopping. :)

Whoa. I'm trying so hard not to be jealous. *pout* I still haven't seen TTT. What's wrong with me?

The audience I saw with? Gave a standing ovation as the credits rolled. I have never seen that before.

I don't remember standing people, but I do remember lots of applause as the credits rolled, esp when peter jackson's name appeared. I think the last time I saw that was for the last two movies... :)

so incredibly awesome. hope your boys are holding up! my mom would have done the same thing (please take that as the compliment in which it was meant)... so very cool of you. *g*

Where did you see it? Tomorrow I'm going to the early show at the Hastings Ranch, where I've seen all the LotR films (huge screen, mega-Dolby, etc.), and I hope to God everyone is QUIET.

And no damn screaming kids or babies!

Thanks for not spoiling me, too. :)

we went to arclight. had horrible TTT midnight experience at universal citywalk last year, so decided to change venue.

you are going to hastings ranch!? um, I work like right across the street from there (in the 24hour fitness building). may see it there this weekend, although those seats are hard to sit in for more than 2 hours. the huge screen is so awesome, just wish pacific theatres would throw a little money their way to upgrade the seats.
