things you CAN'T do while your power is out:

- vacuum
- play music
- use my cordless phone
- laundry
- TELL TIME (dude, i will so be fixing this situation this weekend)
- microwave?(a.k.a. the only cooking device enkeli really uses) byebye.
- open the fridge

and the worst of all...
- get on the FREAKIN INTERNET

and i meant to work from home today. and, like, actually work.

luckily, i could use my laptop. *huggles powerbook to self* i love you 5 hour battery. also, my cell phone was getting great reception. hmm.

it's funny, you also start thinking stupid things like "OMG WILL THE WATER NOT WORK NOW?!" and "this must be what it's like to be amish!", which are both just so ridiculous.

power obviously back on now. need to mop floor and then run errands and stop in the office....

although, it's not so much wanting to do them as it is your brain not quite grasping the number of things that aren't possible without electricity. or perhaps just my stubborn brain?

the reason I was given for the outage was some sort of upgrade/maintenance by pasadena water and power on my block.

I think all this power going out around me is a sign of some sort.

Seriously, it's ridiculous how much we use electricity, and you don't realize it until you no longer have any! Sweet, sweet electricity!
